The network

Our partners

The gothic and alternative scene runs on a handful of shops, magazines, festivals and communities that have kept it alive for years. These are the ones we read, listen to and turn up at, and the ones we are happy to send you to.

Shops & brands

  • Whisperecrina

    whisperecrina.com

Hand-sewn gothic clothing and accessories from a workshop in Occitanie: skirts, shirts, waistcoats, collars and necklaces, grouped into collections. The shop runs on monthly pre-orders, each piece is made once ordered rather than held in stock.

  • Creativity Disorder

    creativity-disorder.fr

Mathilde's workshop, somewhere between Victorian spirit and the cabinet of curiosities: hand-built wall vitrines, frames and talismans where velvet sits alongside roe deer antler, dried flowers and insects. Everything is made to commission, each piece growing out of a conversation with the person it is meant for.

Magazines, blogs & podcasts

  • L'Antre de Bloodwitch

    lantredebloodwitch.com

Bloodwitch Luz Oscuria's blog: criminology, unsolved mysteries, metal reviews and dark pop culture. An author herself, she also publishes her own fantasy novels, thrillers, short stories and poetry there, and offers a manuscript proofreading service.

What we look for

We are not trying to make the list longer. Four criteria, all of them held together by one idea: a link has to be worth something to the person who clicks it.

A real tie to the scene

Your site covers gothic, alternative, dark art, metal or niche craft. A general-purpose directory or an unrelated site would serve nobody, not your readers, not ours.

A living site

A domain that is current, readable, and run by someone we can reach. No site dormant for three years, no parked page, no bulk-generated content.

A page that actually describes you

We write a few lines about every partner, by hand. We expect the same: a bare anchor buried among a hundred others does no more for your rankings than for ours.

No bought links

We do not sell a slot on this page and we do not buy one elsewhere. An exchange happens between two sites that have a reason to mention each other, otherwise it is worth nothing to anyone.

How it works

  1. 1

    You write to us

An email or an Instagram message, with your site's address and where you plan to mention us.

  2. 2

    We take a look

We visit, we read, we reply. It is a real look rather than an automated form, so give it a few days.

  3. 3

    We publish

Your entry goes live with a written description. You publish yours on your side, and each of us checks the other's link is really there.

The links on this page are editorial: we choose them because we know the sites we list. Any partnership obtained in exchange for payment or goods is flagged as such on the entry concerned.

Do you run a site in the scene?

Shop, webzine, podcast, festival, collective: if your world overlaps ours, get in touch about an exchange.
